Welcome to the Chippewa Valley Retriever Club
The Chippewa Valley Retriever Club is committed to the promotion, breeding, training, advancement, and best interests of all retriever field trial and retriever hunt test breeds. We will encourage the training of retriever breeds by educating handlers, owners, club members and the general public within the Chippewa Valley region while promoting good sportsmanlike conduct. We will support organizations dedicated to canine health, and prevention of cruelty to animals, and will conduct licensed retriever field events under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
Club History
The Chippewa Valley Retriever Club was formed in the fall of 2005 by two dog owners from the Menomonie area who wanted to wanted to have fun with other people who enjoy the training of working retrievers on both land and water. We are a young club, however, our member ship has grown to over 40 members in just two years. We currently hold informal / fun events in early spring and Field Trial and Hunt Test annually.
